I have heard lots of people say they did not like this book and I can never understand that.

If you like Magician you should like this book. In my opinion the best thing about this book is Jimmy the Hand in Magician you get a sample of him but in this book the character comes into his own. In this book Lyam, Arutha and Martin have just finished the Eastern cities. and Arutha is returning to Krondor where a price has been put on his head. There is a botched attempt on his life and Anita is poisened. Arutha, Jimmy and the rest set out on a quest to find the cure. A second plot line is Pug trying to find out what evil power is rising and to do this he needs to return to Kelewan.
