In the Claws of the Tiger (The War-Torn Book 3) by James Wyatt

Janik Martell has been summoned by the Keeper of the Flame (But is only going because he was also asked by an old friend Dania) on the way he is attacked by a warforged warrior sent by his long time enemy Krael Kavarat and gathers his old friend the elf wizard Mathas. The Keeper asks him to go to Mel-Aqat where on a previous visit he supposedly released an evil spirit. Janik has no intention of returning there, as his last visit to Mel-Aqat was when his life had fallen apart. When last there his wife had betrayed him to Krael Kavarat a loss from which he has not recovered. His old friend Dania now a paladin of the Silver Flame manages to persuade him to go. When they set out they find that Krael Kavarat is also returning to Mel-Aqat and it is now a race to see who gets there first.

I quite enjoyed this book there is nothing special about it but it is a good book to spend a few hour reading. My main problem is that the characters can be irritating in there idiocy and there are a few points like when Janik changes his mind to go to Mel-Aqat to me I can not understand why he was persuaded to change his mind.
