Freedom's Apprentice (The Dead Rivers Trilogy Book 2) By Naomi Kritzer

After being kicked out of the Alashi, Lauria has decided to find all the slaves she returned to Kyros and Temar accompanies her with the hope of freeing the slaves of Sopho’s Harem. As they travel around freeing the slaves Lauria finds the slave’s reactions are not what she expected as they do not all forgive her. On the journey the start to learn some of the secrets of the Weavers and that there is strife within the order. But Lauria’s journeys keep taking her near Elpisia but how many times can she go there before Kyros manages to catch her?

I enjoy reading about the characters in this book but am not too fussed about the story. I find all the wanting to free the slaves and Djinni boring. I personally would have been on the Greeks side. But I will be buying the final books, as I want to find out how the story finishes.
